CONSTRUCTION BEGINS AT WOOLSHED GROVE
CONSTRUCTION has commenced on the Woolshed Grove site at Ferny Hills, bringing the residential development a step closer to public release.
BMD Constructions started site works this week following their appointment by developers, BTS Properties (Qld) Pty Ltd.
Construction works are expected to take five months and will include all aspects of the development including creation of the 62 home sites, roadworks and landscaping.
It is expected that blocks, which range from 400m² to 1002m², will be available to purchase off the plan by the end of March. The exclusive blocks have been priced competitively from $320,000 to $395,000.
Woolshed Grove Sales Director, Sergio Giavon, said he was looking forward to releasing the blocks for sale.
"We've had a very strong response since we began accepting expressions of interest in August last year. Now that we finally have Council approval to proceed, we expect a good portion of these to convert to sales," he said.
The nine hectare site, which was previously home to the Australian Woolshed tourist attraction, represents one of the largest residential land releases within a 13 km radius of the Brisbane CBD in recent years.
While the site will feature 62 residential blocks, almost half the total land will remain parkland or bushland.
The majority of the site's original structures have been relocated, with the Steiner School at Samford amongst those to find new uses for the old buildings.
"However, as a reminder of its heritage, we have given the four streets in the development an appropriate theme Woolshed Street, Drovers Close, Shearers Close and Merino Close," Mr Giavon said.
